2014 in review – Beer blogging for the love of beer

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 930 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 16 trips to carry that many people.

Tumescence – The Bruery – Bi-Weekly Beer Review Episode #4

Bi-Weekly Beer Review Episode #4

Tumescence – The Bruery / Bottle Logic Colab- Saison brewed with Mango, Raspberry and Herbs – ABV 8% 4 out of 5

I first tasted this beer at the Bruery’s tasting room. I was looking to get a beer my wife would like. While this has fruits and my wife love fruit beers this saison is too tart for her. I got a bottle in my spring Preservation Society allocation.

Orange amber color with a white head but yet I cannot see through the beer it is so cloudy. Scent of fruits, herbs and hops. I can smell the mango for sure. The mango is strong on the first taste. I get the herbs and hops are on the back end. Bitter fruit and hop flavor makes this a bitter and tart beer. 20140529-201054-72654212.jpg

Firestone Walker Beerscapades

This is a great video! I feel the same

beer track mind.

It's. Just. So. Pretty. It’s. Just. So. Pretty.

A buddy and I recently spent a couple weekends heading to Firestone Walker breweries in Paso Robles and Buelton taking footage of the trip and our shenanigans along the way. It was for a contest that FWBC was holding in preparation for the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival (#FWIBF). The idea behind the contest was to create a video entry that shows the extent of your inner beer geek regarding Firestone Walker with tickets to that very event on the line.

Editting the final product. Editing the final product.

We had a lot of fun road tripping around California for this project and, of course, visiting the brewery too! Nothing beats actually visiting the brewery and enjoying some fresh beer with some friends.

So – check it out!
