Innis and Gunn Canadian Cherrywood aged

Innis and Gunn Canadian Cherrywood aged – Scottish Ale Aged over Cherrywood Chips with Maple Syrup Added – ABV 8.3% – Color is dark amber Almost brown with a thick whitehead and good consistent lacing. Scent is very strong of the cherrywood and malts. The flavors are extremely complex with the Scottish ale that Innis and Gunn is famous for with the Cherrywood and the maple syrup gives it a little bit of a syrupy feel but then the back end gets all that maple into the flavor. I have had 4 different kinds of Innis and Gunn ales and while the Rum Cask Aged remains my favorite this is a very close second!
I give this 5 out of 5
